Skipton market open for business

Skipton Market

High Street, Skipton, North Yorkshire, BD23 1JX

Skipton Market is open again for business after the Covid19 lockdown! I’m fairly certain many people will be happy to hear this news after so long whilst others might still be a bit apprehensive about it! 🤔

The market will currently be open on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays only for now from 10am – 4pm. The high street will be closed to traffic on those days and during those times. Each market stall will be facing the street itself and social distancing rules will also be in effect.

Despite a fairly drizzly day today it was still nice to see a fair few people who had come to check it out and to do a bit of shopping. I’m sure many were relieved to be able to get outside once more and to mingle, even if it was at a distance. Everyone seemed to be sticking to the 2m rule with no problems and if I’m honest, it felt quite relaxed. It was only Wednesday though so we will see what happens on the weekend. 🤔

How do you feel about the market returning to business? Do you think it’s time or too soon? I’d love to hear your thoughts below 👇

  1. Nice to hear people were being sensible and you felt relaxed. A little bit of normality which we all need. as long as people adhere to the rules.
