Hubby and I recently went out for a lovely evening meal at Rhubarb Restaurant which is part of the amazing Herriots Hotel in Skipton.
Service with a Smile
Being welcomed warmly with a smile from Chris, the General Manager made us feel instantly at home. After being seated in the lovely restful surroundings of the restaurant itself we were then served by the lovely Lauren, the Food & Beverage Manager. More service with a smile and nothing was too much trouble for her. 😀
Eat Out to Help Out
Rhubarb’s decided to extend the recent Eat Out to Help Out scheme which offers people the chance to save up to £10 per person (inc kids) on lunch or dinner right through til the end of November. How generous is that!!
*Please note however, that it’s only available at this restaurant on Tues, Wed and Thurs of each week.
So we thought we would avail ourselves of this wonderful offer whilst we still had the chance. Besides saving some money though, it also gave us the chance of trying out this lovely restaurant for the very first time! This was something we had been wanting to do for a while.
On the Menu
I forgot to take a picture of hubby’s starter but mine was a delicious leek & potato soup….and I don’t even like leeks usually. 😝
For mains hubby had a tasty sirloin steak with grilled tomatoes, field mushrooms, beef dripping chips & blue cheese sauce. I myself had a cheeseburger topped with mature cheddar cheese and served with beef dripping chips. (I declined the salad coz I don’t like green stuff – I put the cucumber thingie on hubby’s plate). 😝 Both meals were very well presented and extremely tasty!
For the best part of the meal – hubby had a beautifully presented selection of luxury ice-creams. I had an absolutely yummy treacle sponge with orange scented creme anglaise. Mmmmmm! 😋
Overall I can report that we had a very pleasant evening and can’t wait to do it again! I’ve already booked our next evening meal. 😉
Have you been for an evening meal at Rhubarb Restaurant yet? If so, how was your experience? If not, are you at least tempted to give it a try?
