It was such a lovely day when I took this walk from East Marton heading towards Thornton in Craven & Skipton. The village of East Marton is such an idyllic little place and very picturesque! There’s even a bridge there called Williamson Bridge which happens to be my surname.

Having taken the complete walk I can safely say that, in my opinion, I don’t believe this to be buggy/pram friendly until you get about halfway to Thornton-in-Craven. Then it has a gravel pathway which should be reasonably ok to use. So, you could in effect, take a walk with a buggy/pram FROM Thornton-in- Craven to get halfway towards East Marton.

At the end of my walk I discovered this amazing little place called Lock Stop Café. You can get tea, coffee, cold drinks, cakes, pancakes and also a great choice of hot snacks. However, it’s only open for another two weeks as it’s a seasonal place which opens from April – October. So, if you’d like to try it out, and I do recommend it, you’d better hurry but what a great little find!

Once I got back to East Marton I decided to stop off at Abbots Harbour, a lovely little restaurant set in a 16th century building. I decided to stop there for lunch – a yummy bacon butty and a cold drink for less than £6. Rather a cute little place to stop for a bite to eat – I highly recommend it!
Do you think you’ll take a walk along here? Or perhaps try out the coffee shop or restaurant?
