GrassingtonGrassington, Skipton, North Yorkshire
This little village is a very popular village in the Yorkshire Dales and for very good reason too! It has such a charming look and feel about it and today was the perfect day for a visit!
What to see
You will find lots of amazing little independent shops here with beautiful things to see and buy. You really are spoilt for choice! There’s also a couple of pubs and a fantastic hotel, Grassington House. They even have a fabulous little museum here too.
Last but certainly not least, theres also a bunch of coffee shops, one of my faves being The Retreat Tearoom & Bistro. Fabulous coffee – you just have to try it for yourself! Great food at reasonable prices too. Oh! And it’s also dog friendly.
Grassington itself is a fantastic place to while away a couple of hours in its beautiful little boutique shops. You’ll really enjoy strolling around the narrow streets and soaking up the atmosphere. Or you could simply sit in the square and watch the world go by, weather permitting of course.
Hiking in the Dales
It’s also a great place to stop off, park up and go for a hike into the Yorkshire Dales National Park if you’re so inclined. There’s lots of lovely places to see in the surrounding Dales countryside. Why not go for a walk and then return to Grassington for lunch or a coffee?
If you’re in the Dales then you can’t go wrong dropping by this very popular village for a visit. You’ll be back, again and again, I can assure you! Then you’ll be telling all your friends about it too lol.
